Now most people think it’s the FBI who tracks down people who try to pass counterfeit bills. But it’s not.
It’s the Secret Service.
Yeah, the same agency who guards the President is also tasked with making sure no “funny money” gets into circulation.
So how does the Secret Service train new agents to spot counterfeit cash?
By making the agents count REAL cash over and over and over. Until they are so intimately familiar with legitimate money that they can ‘feel’ a bad bill before even looking at it.
Here’s the takeaway…
You worked real hard to earn your real cash.
You need to keep that real cash with your other money documents someplace safe from both fire and water.
You should get a SentrySafe Document Box. It’s large enough to hold your important stuff but portable enough to take with you if life gets dicey.
Keep about 2 weeks worth of cash in there. Mostly twenties, hundreds, and some smaller bills.
Your call as to whether or not you want a Secret Service agent to count it before you put it in the safe.
