Earlier, I gave you a recommendation for our family’s go-to safe we store our financial documents in.
It’s a place you keep all the papers for protection and convenience.
But what if you are traveling and something awful happens to you or someone in your family?
And you need a copy of a document that’s back home in your safe?
And no one can get in your house to get what you need?
Well, this is where having your important documents always with you electronically is huge.
You might be thinking…documents…with me all the time…convenient…I got it!
A USB flash drive!
You’d be right (kind of).
A regular flash drive would check the box of everything you just thought about. Except for one thing.
SECURITY.
You see, a regular USB flash drive is so easy to use that if someone stole it, they could get your info really quick.
So you want something that is easy to use but hard to crack if someone stole it.
That’s why I recommend the Kingston Ironkey USB Flash Drive.
Just the name is cool…Ironkey.
The reason I like this one is because of the security features built into it. You set up a password to enter every time you use it. This means your data is protected and is so secure, you don’t have to worry about someone cracking the code even if they stole it.
You might be realizing that safety and security have layers that form an interlocking shield.
You’d be right.
My job as your protection guide is to help you think about keeping your and your family safe. And this little USB flash drive does just that.
My recommendation is to get one for each parent. Same password on both. Just in case.
Because you never know what life may throw at you.
